"On Family" is a very good, and honest, poem about the changes that all families go through. It's so easy to forget that ten year can create a new generation with values that might differ from mom and dad's. Staying receptive without critiquing is hard, but sometimes all kids want is an ear.

Thank you, Sandy. I see it that way, too. And we're so linear in our thinking aren't we? We don't see how fluid these relationships are. Kids don't stay kids, and adults don't stay adults.

hahah thanks! Sometimes I think much of our family disagreements come from the fact that we aren't on some level wasted 24/7 like our ancestors.
